So far, AI is accelerating software development work to a much greater extent than it is improving UX designers and researchers' productivity. This mismatch risks exacerbating the imbalance that already exists in most product design projects where engineering dominates human factors. Jakob Nielsen says that it is incumbent on UX professionals to accelerate their work further and to ensure that AI is developed with greater emphasis on usability in the future.
